Multiple Bets - Sports Betting

This section of the Sports Gambling Tutorial on Sports Betting provides an explanation of multiple bets in sports betting.  A multiple bet is a single sports wager that links together several individual sports bets.  The following terms are applicable to multiple bets in sports betting.

Double - 1 sports bet involving 2 selections in different events.  All selections must win to get a payout.

Treble - 1 sports bet involving 3 selections in different events.  All selections must win to get a payout.

Four-Fold Accumulator - 1 sports bet involving 4 selections in different events.  All selections must win to get a payout.

Five-Fold Accumulator - 1 sports bet involving 5 selections in different events.  All selections must win to get a payout.

Six-Fold Accumulator - 1 sports bet involving 6 selections in different events.  All selections must win to get a payout.

Seven-Fold Accumulator -  1 sports bet involving 7 selections in different events.  All selections must win to get a payout.

Eight-Fold Accumulator - 1 sports bet involving 8 selections in different events.  All selections must win to get a payout.

Trixie - 4 sports bets involving 3 selections in different events, consisting of 3 doubles and 1 treble.  This is 4 total sports bets and at least 2 selections must be successful to get a payout.

Patent - 7 sports bets involving 3 selections in different events consisting of 3 singles, 3 doubles and a treble.  This is 7 total sports bets and one winning selection is enough to get a payout.

Yankee - 11 sports bets involving 4 selections in different events consisting of 6 doubles, 4 trebles and a four-fold.  This is 11 total sports bets and at least 2 selections must be successful to get a payout.

Super Yankee (or Canadian) - 26 sports bets involving 5 selections in different events consisting of 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-olds and a five-fold.  This is 26 total sports bets and at least 2 selections must be successful to get a payout.

Lucky 31 - 31 sports bets on 5 selections in 5 separate events consisting of 5 singles, 10 doubles, 10 trebles, 5 four-folds and a five-fold.  This is 31 total sports bets and one winning selection is enough to get a payout.

Lucky 63 - 63 sports bets on 6 selections in 6 separate events consisting of 6 singles, 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds and a six-fold.  This is 63 total sports bets and one winning selection is enough to get a payout.

Heinz - 57 sports bets involving 6 selections in different events consisting of 15 doubles, 20 trebles, 15 four-folds, 6 five-folds and a six-fold.  This is 57 total sports bets and at least 2 selections must be successful to get a payout.

Super Heinz - 120 sports bets on 7 selections in 7 separate events, consisting of 21 doubles, 35 trebles, 35 four-folds, 21 five-folds, 7 six-folds and a seven-fold.  This is 120 total sports bets and at least 2 selections must be successful to get a payout.

Goliath - 247 sports bets involving 8 selections in different events consisting of 28 doubles, 56 trebles, 70 four-folds, 56 five-folds, 28 six-folds, 8 seven-folds and 1 eight-fold.  This is 247 total sports bets and at least 2 selections must be successful to get a payout.
